This Bochart conjectures to have been the same as Migdol. See the Parallel Passages. [Heb. Baal-zephon.] This may have been the name of a town or city in which Baal was worshipped; and probably called {zephon,} from being situated on the north point of the Red sea, near the present Suez. |
